8K tach

[Formula1973]

I have what I believe is a 1973 firebird/Trans am 8K tachometer.
There is a small light at the bottom of the tach.
Right through the lines at 5k to 15K.
What is this for?

If it is a 1973 Lemans Tach it would be a Tailgate Ajar light for the Wagon version, I have one in my wagon, they look very much like the Firebird tic toc tac.

I was just going to ask, are you sure its not a LeMans tach or cluster.
