...could it be? I put this Quad4 in, and man, what a fine piece of equipment it is. I love it! It's quick, tight in the turns. All of a sudden, one day a few weeks back, it started 'surging' at a traffic light. Then blaugh, it stalled. In neuteral it will do this. Starts right back up, then it starts surging. It's acting sluggish now on accelleration, and my m.p.g. went from 27.8 to 23.6. All of these miles are in town. How do I do it? I put it in neuteral at traffic lights. I have attempted to look for a vaccuum leak. Haven't found one. My oil pressure is always showing nothing less than 75 psi, and always a perfect 180 deg., but the volts are crazy. sometimes 15v then less than 12v depending on lights on, brake applied etc. I've had this problem since I put the engine in it, so I put a new alternator in. No chance of that being the problem. Any suggestions?

it could be multiple things like the timing belt or the tranny... it all depends... have you tryed calling auto shops to she what they think?

Check the fuel filter and injectors, that's a electronic fuel injection system, that may be going bad .
