Have an old 93 Grand Am that has a major squeal.

I replaced the belt a while back when it started, but it didn't fix it.

The only other things that given me any direction, is that it squeals non-stop, but seems to die down when at lower RPMs. Pretty much completely gone when the clutch is depressed.

Also, when at lower RPM's the power steering seems to fail as it gets incredibly tough to turn.

I'm assuming this would all be caused by the PS pulley?

I don't really want to go through all the time and money of just replacing each pulley 1 by 1, so I'm hoping to get some sort of agreement on what it is.

P.S. I've tried applying belt dressing to the grooved side of the belt, which causes it to stop for about 5 mins, or until the car is turned off, then back on again.

P.P.S. Power Steering fluid is fine, although when the car is idle and it's hard to turn, it makes a separate whine. The pump might be shot as well?

take a section of rubber hose, hold one end near your ear and move the other end near the pulleys and belt tensioner till you find the source of the noise.
