93 lt1 firebird fuel tank problem?

does anyone know if someone make a fuel tank with better baffles? my 93 gets great mileage till 1/2 tank then it just blows threw it. my friend has a 92 camaro that does the same thing. we think the gas is sloshed around and evaporates.

It's not what you think. It's GM's wonderful gauge and sending unit. They're notorious for staying on full for a long time, taking a while to get to 1/2 then quickly to empty. You're not losing gas, you're not losing mileage...it's crappy GM parts lol.

My 89 GTA does the same thing, hell even my C5 does it too.

I think if you check you will find this is the case with most cars .
