93 sunbird with V6 and manual trans. Steering wheel jerks

I have a 93 sunbird and when you accelerate or let off the gas while driving the steering wheel vibrates and jerks back and forth for a sec then straightens up, I’m thinking bad trans mount maybe, anyone had this happen?

Thats a possiblity but all the mounts should be checked along with tie rod ends.

Correct, even with one mount bad, the firewall will flex and the steering wheel will shake.

Get lifetime mounts at the auto parts store because they go bad all the time.

The front passenger one on mine has been replaced 4 times already. (2610)

Also check the lower ball joints too.
