Ok Got it home the other day , has around 186,341 miles on it, think the brakes and shocks on rear are bad, cleaned the dash and plastic up. has low coolant stuck some antifreeze in it, oil looks good, tranny fluids good, , radiator feels same temp across it, fan kicks on when ac or heat applied, stayed between 220 and 100, I believe it was flushed and thermostat was replaced, curious,
this weekend going to check the drain holes, and rib the carpet and seats out, so moldy and nasty, due to someone just being dirty and letting it sit in a gravel lot, but dash looks nice. ill post pics to night before I touch it. again, any ideas on the heat issue, don't really want to buy a gaskets , id rather wait and buy the kit if I got to do that.

not sure what your upper temperature is, you typed 100? You could have air in the system if after the thermostat change and flush it wasnt bled.

94 grand am se coupe low coolant light

so on the temp gage it says 100 then 220 then 280 , it stays between 100 and 220 when idling, got low fuel so ill have to add some. low coolant light is on, I let it run for a while nothing, like 20 minuts, filled up the antifreeze and nothing light still on, unplugged sensor and put it back on nothing, so now im going to get a head gasket and see if that works, it has a new thermostat, and has been flushed . no bleed valve and no radiator cap 2.3 l 4cylinder, took seats out and vacumned , got al lthe mold out, and got the crowling out tho the wiper arms broke. so now im going to do the head gasket and see if that works , there was some white crap on the dipstick, so im assuming I got to change oil after word and oil filter, no issue I can do that.

you have a bad low coolant sensor and possible blown head gasket. Dont forgot to have the head checked for straightness when you do the gasket.

gasket and sensor

neighbor came over with one of his mechanic friends, said all the gaskets look brand new, I got a gasket just in case, all hoses on top of pressure inthem, all lower coolant hoses don't. , so where is this sensor, im pretty tired.

should be near the bottom of the plastic coolant tank

Not bad . So I let it run today . Pushed some coolant through light went of. Drove it around neighborhood and brakes loosened up. As long as I don't slam them they ahouldnt locked up . Put .1 gallon and halfand it went 40 miles not bad. Overheated when.I came to a stop.all that for a radiator cap. Next month gettin it registered and tabbed
