94 Sunbird spare tire retainer question

When I bought my 94 Sunbird everything that was original for holding the spare tire down was missing. Does anyone happen to be able to point me to any place that has the original part numbers for the bolt, retainer and wing shaped nut? I found the plate for the spare and the spare cover retainer but I can't find the rest. Junkyards have been no help either.

I'm not sure where you would find the numbers since sites such as www.gmpartsdirect.com do not appear to show the parts associated with the spare anymore. I'm also not clear what having those numbers would do for you. Have you tried www.car-parts.com ?
 
Vintage Parts may possibly have them but you need to know the part numbers as they don't have part diagrams. I'll try car-parts, thanks.
 
Appreciate the effort but unfortunately it doesn't. I'm thinking I can try some ebay'er with Sunbird parts and see if they have any in their scrap cars.

You will have to measure the length of J bolt you need and see if the J bolts listed all over ebay for other cars may work. or could be modified to work.

I tried searching for any other makes and models that would work for sure and came up empty handed as well.

But I did see quite a few that looked like they should work like this one here could be threaded further down the shaft and cut to size if needed.

Thanks, that's what I ended up doing. Be so much easier if the junkyards had any of these models around here.
