94 Sunbird starting problem

Thanks one and all for all the helpful advice and hints. I hope someone can learn about how to fix their car with all this, but it won't be me. I sold it to a guy who says he will get a new head and fix it. I hope so, but possible he just took it to the pick-a-part and made $100 on the day. If so, it is in a wrecking yard somewhere in the Phoenix area. If he does fix it, I told him about this site, so maybe he'll get on here too. Thanks again, and good luck.
