When I'm trying to start my Pontiac, it will always start and die the first time. The second time, it starts and then it will stay going, unless I give it any gas immediately after starting out, and then the rpms will drop and the car dies. It also doesn't like to climb hills, it will not maintain the current speed unless I give it a lot more gas than I would need to, sometimes it will be pretty close to flooring it, but no change in rpm and the speed still drops. The only thing I've done to try and fix this problem is running some cheap fuel cleaner through, and while my has mileage went up by five miles or so, it remains the same. The guy told me to try the cheap stuff out first, and if it didn't work he would sell me better stuff, have not gone back yet. Any ideas for what this problem could be? It can be really hard to start, and sometimes it will not start at all for an hour or so, which is fun to have happen am hour away from home. The last time this happened my dad drove it the day before and he told me it took "forever" to start, meaning he didn't listen to my instructions on how to start out and was trying to give it gas as it was starting... Anyways, any ideas as to what this could be? Not very much has been done on it, it was my brothers. Also, would it be possible to be pointed in the direction of the low pressure point for the ac? I cannot find it, and is it somewhat easily accessible?
I can provide more information if needed, on my phone right now
Forgot the mention that only the first time of the day is it hard to start, after that it will start fine every time afterwards unless it's been quite a few hours
