My son fried the Quad 4 in my 95 GA. I just got my hands on a 94 GA that has a 3.1 in it. Has any one done this before and if so does it all fit? I know I'll have to change the EFI harness, engine computer harness, and probably move engine mounts around. What I am wondering is do I have to mess with the dash harness, transmission harness, and if the axle shafts are the same , etc. Let me know your thought on this project. I love the GA, I love the way it handles and interior comfort. I have had nothing but electrical problems on this car and it has all related to the engine harness and components. So now I have a complete donor car to upgrade to a 3.1. Is it worth it? thanks for your responses.........

It's really alot of work even with a donor car you need to swap EVERYTHING from the donar to the car you are putting it in , Frame, harness, transmission, brake systems ....
it is just too much work for that old of a car in my opinnion ..

Found blown head gasket this weekend.

I started pulling the Quad down this weekend and the low # 1 & 2 cyl compression was confirmed as a leaking head gasket. Rather than change to the 3.1 I'm going to try the HG first. If that dosen't get her running ten I'm going to convert over to the V-6. I knowit is a lot of work, but the body is in good shape as is the interior. I just can't see putting out 18 to 20 K for a new car or 10 to 15 K for some one elses used junk. I already have that. I'll keep yo all posted on the repairs. This car has had a long history of EFI and electrical issues all its life and I hope this puts the engine running problems to rest. We'll see.
