I think the engine in my car has gone bad. I was wondering if I can and how hard if so, I go buy a 2jz supra engine, would it be a good fit and if not, what modifications I would have to do to make it fit. if it isn't a lot of modifications to do this, I would like to drop one of these engines in my car. please help. hate to have to find out the hard way!

Why would you think a Toyota Supra engine, which is a 6 cylinder longitudinal inline engine designed for a rear drive vehicle is an easy fit into a Pontiac which is front wheel drive and uses a V6 transverse engine? Measure the length of your current engine and measure the length of the 2jz and then figure where are you going to put the transmission, the Pontiac trani wont attach to the Toyota engine. Why do you think your current engine needs replacing?

I'm not sure if it will, this is why I asked for help. and I'm not sure, hasnt been started for a while and the person that owned it before me said there is something wrong with the engine. but the current motor in it is an 16v 4 cyl dohc.

Think you should find out what is wrong with the current engine and then decide if it should be repaired or replaced with the same engine. The Toyota engine will not fit without investing enough money that would be equal to buying a brand new car.
