Just did brakes the other day (Pads, Shoes, Rear wheel cylinders and Drums) bled lines and refilled pumped back up. Brakes smooth now, but at the end of pedal travel, get a thumping form the pedal, pulled ABS relay and problem stops, put it back in and back t o the begining again, so fairly certain it is a problem with the ABS.
Question 1; what to look at (ie; sensor line connections (though only one connection was disconnected)) we did have a problem with the back brakes, the Auto adjuster on one side was a little hard to get off, and after the new hardware was replaced the drum was a little tight going back on compared to the other side (think there might be a bit of rust or dirt in the notch of the adjuster making the shoes stick out a touch further than the other side )
Question 2: Can I drive the car and brake safely enough without the ABS relay in place (effectively bypassing the ABS till problem is figured out and fixed)
Thank you in advance
