96 pontiac grand am se 2.4L 4cyl. automatic?

I had recently bypassed my GA and noticed a bunch of lights came on in my dashboard such as: ABS, CHECK ENGINE, BRAKE, and even sometime the CHECK OIL.
i noticed when i drove it from oklahoma to texas it was taking off in 3rd gear when it was in "D" but when i put it in "1" it would be taking off in 2nd gear. im stuck here in Texas until i get the problem fixed please help me i need to get home
 
Take It To Autozone Or Something And Get The To Run A Check On The Computer That May Point You In The Right Direction
