Cylinder #2 an #4 misfiring my mechanic has checked everything from spark plugs, boots, Ignition coils, Coil Pack Housing, EGR value, Ignition Control Module (NEW), fuel filter (NEW), the pressure in the cylinders and fuel. He ruled out fuel injectors because 1 min there will be no misfires. Then the next thing you know #4 and #2 miss like crazy on idle and being driven. So the next step he’s taken is changing my computer. I talked to someone at car quest they had the same problem nothing they did worked until he change the Throttle Position Sensor something that there was no engine code for and it worked. My mechanic said that couldn’t be that because of the same reason that he ruled out the fuel injectors. Does anyone have experience in this problem? Anyone have any ideas of what else it could be?

Try the fuel pressure regulator. Check the timing belt and tensioner. Manually clean ALL your sensors with Gum-out, especially the IAC. Have you owned this car for long, or is it a used car??? When did the problems arise? Good luck!!!
