I have a 1996 pontiac sunfire 2.2L and ever since my transmission was replaced I've had issues with overheating. I replaced the water pump and thermostat and it was running fine for a little bit. Had issues with the fan staying on and overheating, sometimes it would kick on, but ran fine for a few months. Now, it's overheating again so I replace the radiator and yet it still overheated, so finally Tuffy auto shop bypassed the cooling fan to run all the time and it never over heated.
Now the fan's not coming on and it's overheating again. When it starts to overheat, the AC will blow warm air and make a sound like it's relieving pressure. Could it be a thermostat sticking or is just the fan? And would that affect the AC?
I'm at my wit's end with this car and have no money for a new one and I need transportation for x-ray school. someone HELP!!
