96 Sunfire problem

Hi

I currently bought 96 sunfire. There is a problem regarding to my car.


When I start the car it will automatically shut off after couple min.
I started again and it shut off again after couple min.

It also shut off automatically while I'm driving all the time.

Anybody know what happen?

I think it is loosing power and shut off completely by itself. Once I restarted again it just stopped running after 1 or two min later. I have keep rev to make it not shut off automatically. I have no problem with start the engine every time. It just keeps shut off after 10sec, 20sec or 1 min automatically

any ideas?

Check the throttle position sensor. I was just working on a Malibu that had the same problem. You'd start it up and it staled after a minute or 2.
