97 2.4l new starter install now car won't fire

I have a 97 2.4L and had the starter go out so I replaced the starter now the car won't fire it turns over but won't fire also the the theft light is on and don't know how to reset it If you do it through the radio I can't it has an aftermarket radio it's getting fuel and the coil pac is good

You did something with the wiring when you replaced the starter. Recheck your installation especially any pinched or broken wires.

that was the first thing I did over and over any other ideass I don't know why the theft light is on
