So I've been having headlight issues, like a lot of owners, but I can't seem to get it going. Here's the low-down. I have no headlights whatsoever. The pull back switch for the brights feels goofy. Checked bulbs, checked front wiring harness for continuity and bare wire, replaced DRL relay. Nothing.
Now, I needed something to get me around in the rain and at dusk, so I rigged up something a little strange. I put a switch in that connects the dark blue wire by the DRL to ground, and poof, I have daylight running lamps. I can't drive at night with that low power lights though. When I flip the rigged switch by itself, the fuses are fine, but if the "real" headlight switch is on at the same time, one of the headlight fuses blow, though the DRLs still stay lit. I'm pretty terrible at reading schematics, and I was hoping that with the information provided, someone might know what the problem is. Little help? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I already checked the wiring harness, and it was still good. I'm not sure it would be the switch, mainly because the dash lights and tail lights still come on.

Well, it turns out you were right about the switch. The car has nearly 300000 miles on it, so I just spliced a couple toggle switches into the harness to connect blue and pink to ground for high and low beams. I didn't want to spend money on a new multi switch considering how many miles it has, and it's working just fine this way.
