97 pontiac grand am has blownhead gasket drove car motor shut off try to start back up the starter...

...clicks? i have a 97 pontiac grand am has a blown headgasket i drove the car 1 day and the motor shut off i went to start the car up and the starter just clicked so i changed the starter and it fired right up so i drove the car again and it did the same thing so i let the car sit for a day and the car started up also when i have the stereo on the lights dim

If the car has a blown head gasket you probably are getting coolant into the cylinder causing a Hydrolock condition (the cylinder(s) fill with colant and wont let it turn over ..
over a short period of time it drains into the crankcase and allows the engine to turn over , Either way you are going to ruin the engine if you continue to drive it without checking it out to find out what the issue is...
the dimming lights could be the alternater or just poor wireing if you have an aftermarket stereo drawing too much current...
you can have the alternater checked at any good auto parts store..
