97 Pontiac grand am starting

issues? hi everybody just wondering if u can help me i am a junior a at ahs and am having trouble getting my 97 grand am to start. The problem happens all the time and what happens is when i go to start the car it keeps cranking for like ever and wont catch i put my foot on the gas and sometimes that does even work. I have checked my battery and that isnt the problem. Please help me i need it to go to school and not be embassest.

Without more information it's impossible to say whats going on with the car it could be fuel related or a number of other things I would suggest finding some one who knows something about cars to take a look at it..
you are not going to find a simple cure on line
you need to take it to a service tech ...
