I have not been able to get this car started since it randomly died on takeoff from a stop light. Vehicle will turn over, but will not "catch" and start. I am getting fuel to the cylinders, getting spark from the plugs last time i checked which was about a week ago. I have no idea what the issue could be that will not let this car start.
Have replaced the ignition control module, crank shaft position sensor, cam position sensor, ECM/PCM/computer (have had the same thing called each of those). Also have new plugs in it, plug wires and the coil packs have been tested good. I cannot think of anything else that would be causing this problem. any advice ( that doesnt include selling her) would be great.
thanks in advance.

have you done a compression test? your timing chain could have snapped or the tensioner could have failed allowing it to skip teeth.

no, i havnt done either of those. going to investigate the timing issue. do ont know how i did not think of that by now. thank you.

Timing was fine but testing indicated that i need ANOTHER ICM. Replaced ICM and it ran for 10 minutes or so then died. Now I am getting no spark from any of the plugs and obviously no start.

Do you have a security light on?

try the relearn procedure. Place key in the run position and watch security light, could take as long as 10 minutes, when light goes out turn off and then try to start.

Okay, so I am sure that it is the passlock system. But the issue now is that doing the relearn procedure does not make the security indicator turn off. I have tried the 10 minute, and 15 minute wait with the key in the ON position. The security light stays illuminated adn the car will produce no spark. Have tested the ICM and the coil packs and crank position sensor one more time just to make sure that they arent to blame for the no start and they all checked out as good.

I have also tried the passlock bypass mentioned here ( I cant use the resistance off of my key bc the little resistor pellet has never been in the key since i got it and has never been an issue until now) http://www.kingbain.com/how-to-permanently-disable-gm-passlock-system/ also used this one after getting the resistor code from the previous help page didnt work http://www.bergerweb.net/PasslockFix/

Using the meter and taking a reading from the key side of the yellow passlock wire i got 520 ohms, tried using that resistor value but got no start. then tried the generic 2.2k ohm method and same thing, no start.

the relearn procedure is not making the security light go out no matter how long leave the key in the ON position. Again, do not have a chipped key and has never needed one to start.
