97 sunfire gt engine swap

I was wondering if a 2.4 out of a 1996 grand am would fit in my sunfire gt. The 2.4 has a "T" as the eigth digit. Is this a direct fit? Would there be anything that needs to be changed? Also, does this motor come out the top or drop through the bottom? Also, the sunfire is an automatic. Thanks is advance for this newbie.

I would assume that any 2.4L out of any GM product would drop in no problem and be a direct hook up and run, but don't quote me cuz I'm not a 100% sure. Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in?

That's what I thought but I have one place telling me the intake and throttle body need to be.changed and other places telling me thee wouldn't need to be changes
