98 firebird suspension squeak

Hi I have a 1998 Firebird that makes a noise any time the suspension compresses at all. It isn't really a squeak, its more of a hollow sound. If I push down by the back wheel it makes the noise consistently so I figured it is the spring. Is there any spray or lubricant of some sort I could put on it? And where do I put it? Thanks

Sounds like you have a bad shock. Does the rear of the car bounce around alot when you go over bumps? Any sign of fluid leaking from the rear shocks?

No I haven't noticed any fluid leaking and it doesn't bounce too much.
