98 Grand AM engine swap into 99 Grand AM

I have a 99 Pontiac Grand AM SE model 3.4L engine with a broke camshaft.
Have chance at a 98 Pontiac grand am with rear end damage from wreck. I'm thinking the 98 has a 3.1L engine. I won't be able to confirm till the soldier returns home. But question is.. will a assumed 3.1L 98 Pontiac Grand AM engine bolt up same as the 99 grand AM SE 3.4L. I welcome all advise..

You will need the computers and wire harness not just the engine. Check at an autoparts site like autozone if they use the same mounts and whether they have the same trani.
