98 grand am wont start no click

my 98 grand am quad 4 wont start.. it made a bad noise and now starter doesnt click or anything when key is turned.. took starter out to advance auto,, it tested good 4 times.. battery is NEW all fuses are good inside and near battery.. the auto parts guy said try the starter or ignition relay.. i cant find any such part listed for the car as in there isnt a relay.. could neutral start switch make it not send power to the starter? is there anything else that could cause this? the ignition module is also new and tests fine.. please help

check the starter solenoid for power using a voltmeter when you turn the key to start. In addition since you mentioned a noise, pull the spark plugs, and try turning the engine over by the crankshaft pulley bolt.
