98 grand am wont start

I have a 98 grand am that will not start it has plenty of fuel but it sat for a year when we parked it. I started it once a week...now it will not start I have spark but it just wont start any suggestions this car does have 172500 miles on it...

How did you determine you have spark? Did you do a fuel pressure test? Is the security light on? Which engine?
