My 98 pontiac 94k miles SE V6 has trouble accelerating primarily in the stop and go department. I've had a major tune up done that included fuel filter, spark plugs, plug wires, air filter, and regular oil check ups done to it so I'm clueless as to what else it could be. It drives fine on the highway. Any ideas? I've really struggled to find a good mechanic who didn't under "estimate" labor charges only to over charge me a lot and or didn't do a good job. The last one I took too I asked for a tune up and asked what was included. They said they checked everything in the car and it was ok they just replaced the spark plugs. The filters were so dirty when I went to get my oil changed that I refuse to go back to that shop. Sorry for my venting!
Catalytic convertor? transmission? Any helpful ideas would help! Oh and if anyone can recommend a good mechanic in/near Rochester, MN that would be great!
