98 pontiac sunfire headlight problems please help!!!!!?

I no longer have day time running lights. When I turn the headlights on the passenger side is bright but the driver side is very dim. When high beams are on the dim light goes out completely. Does any one have any ideas on how to fix this and what the cost might be??? Thanks.

What happened to the daytime running lights ? Did they go off by themselves ? They have to be deactivated a certain way. If they were taken off it could be a problem. and as decribed , Check the Light bulbs to see if they have both filaments.For the bright and the dims.

Check the ground wires and the headlight harness.
