I posted recently about a 98 sunfire that I was having issues with the passlock system. I discovered that the yellow wire in the passlock system had been cut prior to my buying the vehicle. I fixed the wire and the theft light went from a steady light to flashing. I followed the instructions for relearning and the car started right up. I drove it for three days, and now it won't start again. I spins over, but will not start. The fuel pump is coming on, the battery is fully charged, full tank of fuel, but nothing. The theft light is on again, solid, no flashing. I watched the video for bypassing the passlock system and when I tried to get an ohm reading on the yellow wire, I am showing 1780 ohms on the key side, yet I am getting no reading at all on the car side of the yellow wire. I did install the bypass and still nothing. The car has new coils, plugs, plug wires, ICM, ignition switch (electrical side), cam sensor, and crank sensor. I thought maybe I had a bad ground, but all of the grounds I can find seem ok. Any suggestions? I am quite literally stumped and could really use some solid advice. I don't understand why the passlock is doing this, and the bypass did not work.
