My fuel gauge has not been working for as long as i can remember on this car and now that it is mine I wanted to get it fixed. I checked the diagnostic and it said what the gauge said but there was no way that I had a full tank so my dad said that it might be the fuel module. We were trying to drop the tank but I had a few questions first, there is a heat shield between the exhaust and the fuel tank and it has some weird bolt I think they are but they have flat heads so you cant really take them off. Since the fuel module we are trying to get to is on the top of the tank, will I be able to just drop the tank to the floor and then disconnect the module from the car, and back to my other problem, will I be able to take out the heat shield or should I just maneuver around it?
