I can not control the air flow inside the cabin direction wise. Its stuck blowing the air up to the windshield. I replaced the battery and ever since its been stuck. Not sure if this is coincidence but maybe I bumped something. Anyone know of any diagrams of the air supply lines for the air flow actuators?

I remember reading something about a TSB about the controls on this forum somewhere if I find I will post otherwise keep looking. As far as bumping something when replacing the battery ,I doubt it I don't think there is anything up there maybe a vacuum hose ,in fact I think if you do loose the controls that is the default position . Sorry I couldn't be more helpful good luck keep us posted.

Is the heater valve controlled by vacuum? If a vacuum line is bad, I know it can cause this issue in my Jeep.

Im assuming that is the problem. I was hoping to locate a diagram of the lines so I have an idea of what line is what and where to find it. Nothing in the Haynes book I have and no luck online. I may try the dealership but they are cranky monos here.

Looking at the motor from the front of the car, Left hand, rear of the upper manifold is usually where the vacuum line is attached.

Ok cool that gives me a direction. When changing the battey I did find a small length of hose. It was maybe 3/16" in diameter and had what looked like plastic just like what would be around wires under the hood. The corrugated plastic tubing stuff. I didn't think anything of it and of course I can't find it right now. It was something like 5 or 6 inches. I'll check where you suggested in the morning. thanks

Who thought up the location of the batteries on this van....most inconvenient place for one. Almost as bad as a Saturn I seen the other day. I twas in the trunk next to the spare tire.

No kidding. It was -14 degrees out when I replaced the battery. I was one miserable sob. My brother has a Buick regal that has the battery under the back seat on the passenger side. Crazy stu

That did the trick. I did break it when replacing the battery. I replaced it and I can now control the air flow. Thanks.

Now one more question. The air is colder on the passenger side then the driver when running the A/C. Any idea there?
