The blower motor only seems to work on the highest setting (5), I get nothing out of the vents on a lower fan speed setting???

As Steelcity said, it is your blower motor resister. I just did this myself. The part was 26 from Autozone. You will need a 10mm socket, a elbow attachment, an extension for your ratchet and the ratchet. A flat screw driver comes in handy also.

Be prepared to cuse at GM quite a few times as the location is a PIA to get to.

Steel,
Did this last night and it fixed the problem, TYVM! Now I can have the a/c or heater on at a comfortable level instead of off or full blast! The video helped a lot as after I watched it I went right out and knocked this project out.

terrehautian,
A few four lettered words slipped as I tried to access the far back bolt, probably didn't help that I DID NOT have an extension for my ratchet and I used a 7/32nds socket. All in all this is a very simple, straight foward, and "doable" project for 99% of the people out there.

One small note about the tube that you have to disconnect, it disconnects from the "firewall area" not the fan motor. In the video I thought I saw him pull it from the motor.
