My 1999 pontiac sunfire se 2.2 has an ac leak but i havent found the dye that i put in with a black light. can anyone give me ideas as to where a good place to look is. im not very smart with ac. any help would be great.

a large auto parts store should have it and it doesnt use a black light.

well an auto parts store told me to use a black light, and what stuff should they have there.

You are right the only type anyone carries requires a UV light. Both autozone, www.autozone.com and napa, www.napaonline.com carry the dye and various lights depending on how much you want to spend.

The issue may be inside the suitcase part of the A/C system ..
I would say if you don't find the leak on any of the outer (underhood) parts that would be my guess the core inside is usually not easy to get at but seems to be a problem area ..
check the lower vents with the light and see if there is any residue near them ..
