Guys, this is my first time here with the exception of the intro page. The car is a 72 LeMans Sport/454/TH400/10 bolt posi gears unknown. I bought this "project" in Jan 2015.
1. Under the brake booster there is a black rubber boot 2 or 3" long...for a clutch rod maybe? And someone has repaired a hole on the left side of the trans tunnel...right where a shifter may have been. The VIN tells me it was a 350 2 bbl dual exh car but this trans thing has me baffled. No other signs...even has the automatic brake pedal. ????
2.The dash is cracked badly...as usual...and have been looking at the coverlays. The companies that sell them do not install them. I know from experience with my former 81 Malibu that there are outfits that do those....anyone had a LeMans/GTO dash sent out and redone?
3. 72 GTO clip hit left front and repaired...shoddily! Found and am replacing the left headlite extension housing and lower valance. Also found both park lites. I guess what I need to ask here is if any of you have connections to used 71-72 GTO body parts.
