hey guys i have an 02 sunfire gt and i am trying to diagnose my abs problem. people say that the sensor is almost never the problem, the wire harness is mostly the problem. so i wanted to find where the wire connects to so i started to follow the wire from my brakes to the end but both the wiring harnesses (left and right front) meet together with other wiring in the car into a big bundle of wires so i lost the abs wires and now i cant find the end. long story short where does the abs wires connect to, i have a repair manual and it said to the left of the master brake cylinder but i cant find it. please help i need abs

Thanks

How about telling us what your ABS problem is to start with?

well i have three codes the first is C1225 the second is C1233 and the third is c1235. my scanner does not have a description it just says the code number so if you can help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

C1225 LF Excessive Wheel Speed Variation
C1233 RF Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted
C1235 RR Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted
Have you performed the test listed below? I assume there are no obvious broken wires at the 3 locations above? This link shows the ABS module next to the master. Cavalier and Sunfire should be the same.

Check the resistance of the sensor by jumping from one terminal to the other. You should see 1040 - 1160 ohms. If not replace the hub unit. The next step would be to set your voltmeter to the AC current selection and spin the wheel. You should see no more than 100 millavolts. If you do replace the hub.

if the the abs unit is broken can i just replace the abs unit it self or do i have to replace the whole braking system?

The parts are available as seperate components. I gave you the sensor test on a previous post in this thread.
