Adding a powered sub to a Pontiac G8?

I am looking in to something to give my car some low end punch, but I do not want to go crazy, saw some powered tubes and some powered boxes,

just would like to know what you guys think

powered tubes and boxes always suck
get a decent sub and amp and it'll last a lot longer and you'll be happier
