Having work done to my 1969 lemans convertible while I am deployed to the middle east. Internet is crappy and doing much research for part numbers is a pain in the butt.
It is my daily driver while I am home.
Looking at replacing the heads, intake, and carb.
Any suggestions on a good combo for mild street performance.
Stock 2 speed power glide is the current transmission.

With the heads, I have read that stock Pontiac 350 heads are pretty good, worth rebuilding?

I would try and search the forums but it takes like 2 min to load a page, most of the time it times out.
Thanks for your time and help.

Like everthing else it depends on your budget. If you can afford it Edelbrock aluminum heads, or another manufacturer, are the way to go. If you find a good machine shop they can rework your current heads, larger valves, porting, milling to raise compression. You can combine either heads with a Edelbrock dual plane intake and a Holley 650 vacuum secondary carb.

At the same time dont forget to change the camshaft

Would it be a decent idea to take some pontiac 350 heads to the machine shop? Would it save some money? Lookin for 400 horse in my 71 lemans with bolt ons and a cam. Eventually bore and stroke to 383
