Hey my aftermarket radio seems to be wired all right. It turns on but shut off intermittently also have no sound whatsoever. Anyone know the fix to this? I did not use a connector adapter as I bought it with a hole in the radio and just wires. Thanks. Also there’s no amp I believe.

Not sure what you mean "a hole in the radio"?
Did you mean a hole in the dash?
Is the aftermarket radio new or used?
If new did it come with instructions?
If not how did you figure out how to wire it?

Yea it’s nee and yes the radio was missing just wires no connector. Also I did battery test on speakers and they all work

I asked if the radio came with instructions?
I assume it did, so how did you figure out how to wire it if the factory harness connector was cut off?

2005 Pontiac sunfire stereo wiring diagrams and yes my new dexk came with schematics for it

Cannt tell you what is wrong other than wired incorrectly causing no sound, did you check speaker output from radio for power with a voltmeter?
Intermittent shut off is bad power connection or internal problem with radio.
If you can't find the issue consider taking it to an installation shop.

Yes I have a voltmeter I tried all that stuff. And correct it could be a problem with the radio itself

Did the voltmeter show a reading on the speaker wires?

Try testing a speaker with a small 9 volt battery to see if you hear a click when you connect it.
You can always go to a stereo installation shop and have them check your wiring.
