Aftermarket Radio in 04 Grand AM GT

I bought this car for $1600 runs Great and i want to put my aftermarket head unit in and I have found out that the chime comes from the radio harness?? And the wiring harness adapters are like $150 but i found this one for $55 and was wondering if any of y'all have used this in a car with the "monsoon" radio set up. It does not say it is not compatible with the radio only the "BOSE"

As i said i have the monsoon head unit and i do not have on-star
