Aftermarket stuff for 1964 326

Newbie alert, just bought a clean '64 Lemans, auto console, stock 326. In looking around at JEGS and Edelbrock websites for aftermarket intakes, cams, etc., I see that a lot of parts for the 326 are not listed for '64 but start in '65. Is there something peculiar about the '64 326? I've read some of the general background about the 326-400 being the same block and mains, so I'm curious why an Edelbrock Performer is not listed for my '64.

Thanks. I did some searching, but haven't found a couple things. Ron's page has stock cam specs, but no indication which cam is in which motor. Any listing of that info? I assume the mild 2-bbl 326 has the 066 cam? Even that cam has a little oomph on the duration specs, although not much lift.

A couple other newbie questions - any appreciable difference between the stock 61-64 tri-power manifolds and the Offenhauser? The trips setup's probably not as efficient as a good 4-bbl, but it looks like so much fun. Also, any reviews on the 1.65 rockers out there? There's a bunch of 'em available.

according to the parts book 63 to 67 A body except GTO had a camshaft number of 537441 the "66" was not used. With the 1.65 rocker you have to check for valve spring coil bind and interference with the head casting where the pushrod comes through the head. Concerning the manifold I would say which ever one you can actually find and is cheaper, doubt much difference performance wise. In addition the current camshaft would negate any benefits a tri power would bring.

Thanks for feedback. I understand the balanced approach, I once had a 66 Mustang and went with a better carb, 1.65 roller rockers and MSD electronic ignition, it seemed to add ~20% to the mid-range power, and the gas mileage stayed abut the same, unless I was really in it. I had the luxury of having the head off so I could also check valve/piston clearance with a dial indicator.

I was hoping there was some history here with the rocker option, and some info on duration and lift for the stock cam. Again, several online searches come up empty. Will keep looking.

Not to beat this to death, but I saw this list, unfortunately it doesn't include the '64 2-bbl camshaft specs, only the '63 2-bbl and the '64 4-bbl.
 
I recommend you call Wallace racing or find a copy of the 1964 Pontiac Chasis Service Manual. What exactly do you intend to accomplish once you have the specs, you already know it's a non performance cam. One E-Bay listing I found had the 537441 listed with .420 lift but nothing else, it is also know as the "E" cam. I also found that Melling makes a replacement cam for 537441, SPC-5, and the specs are on this PDF

Just trying to get up to speed, and curious what the baseline is. Thanks for the Melling link, I bought a couple manuals, too, that'll keep me busy.
