grand am? i have a 02 grand am v6 new gaskets, new water pump, new t stat,.....running warm and no warm air from heater.how do i bleed any air from system?

there should be a bleeder valve on top of the water pump. just open the valve with car running and radiator (or reservoir cap) open. Keep radiator (or reservoir) full of water. do this for about 20 to 30 mins., with heater on full blast. Shut valve replace rad cap, system should be bled.

At the top of the front valve cover is a black heater pipe. To the left of this cover is where coolant is fed into this pipe. If you look closely you will see what looks to be like a small black bolt that is on top of this pipe. Loosen this bolt ( be careful, this bolt has a tendency to seize) and start the engine. When the engine starts to warm up you will notice coolant coming out of this bolt area. When the system has purged all the air, a solid stream of coolant will flow out of this bolt. It make take 2 or 3 purges to finally rid the system of all the trapped air. Be sure to replenish any coolant that is drawn in to the system when the air has been purged.
