Hello I am an owner of a 1998 Trans Am over here in Australia. I would love some help if anyone can. I have an airbag warning gauge light staying on and I would like to know what is causing this. I had disconnected the battery overnight to do some unrelated to electrical work but when I reconnected the battery he light came on and won't go off. After putting the diagnostic on it it, it came back that there is an open loop on the driver's side airbag. Is this a clock spring issue? Could it be anything else? If I need a new clock spring, do you have any advice on where can I source one as Fbody and Classic don't have any and Partsgeek don't ship to Aussi. I also have sound system controls on the steering wheel (upgraded sound system) and so want to know if I need a different clock spring for this to if I had no steering wheel controls. Any shared experiences or advice/suggestions very much appreciated.

Are sure the unrelated electrical work didnt really cause the code to appear?
please post the code
