Hey guys, first off i wanna start off by saying im new here so hello to every one.

So I recently bought an 03 aztek from auction for cheap and figured itd be a nice drive around car for the wife. So here are the issues I am having with it so far.

Airbag light is on
service engine codes read as fallow
Trans silinoid
o2 sensor

Slight electrical issues
Window switch needs to be replaced and the biggest electrical issue i am haveing is

When you start car up, and head lights are on AUTO, the service engine light pops on and the bright lights indicator flashes. this continues unless you switch your head lights to like manual mode. Im woundering if daytime running light sensor is bad?

Can any one tell me how to reset Airbag light to see if it comes on again?

you can try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to clear the light but you need a special scanner to read the code

My 2001 Aztek just started doing the same thing last week. Airbag light remains on, goes off, then on again, headlamps stay on even in direct full sunlight, highbeam flash when car started. Daytime running lamps don't come on because headlamp are on all the time.

You could have a faulty DRL sensor or relay. Also, you could have a grounding issue related to the headlights. Another problem could be corroded/poor connections at the BCM. I would take it to someone who can scan it for codes (especially body codes), and see what shows up. BTW, most of the time a dealer is going to be your only option for reading body codes as most auto parts stores only have a basic scanner that checks powertrain codes only.
