I went to leave for work tonight and noticed that I had no headlights. It is a 06 Torrent and I tried to switch on the headlights manually and still nothing. I flipped the high beams and they went on for a second and then off. I didn't have time to trouble shoot ye because I was running late. Any ideas as to why? All the other lights worked fine including hazards.

check your fuses to start. Could also be caused by a bad relay or a break in wire harness or the switch.

arm1217,
I would like to apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you. I would suggest that you check the fuses as melsg5 has suggested to you and if that does not work then I would suggest that you contact your local GM dealership to see if they are able to diagnose this issue for you. If you have any other questions comments or concerns please feel free to message me.
Thank you,

Stacy thank you for the post, as a former GM employee of 12 years, I appreciate your post. I swapped relays and checked th fuse was about to give up and chaulk it up to the switch and then they were on. I did notice there was a loose relay near the headlight fuses, maybe that was it. I will be carefully watching to see it the problem comes back or not.
Now I need to address the no heat issue as it seems winter may have finally come to Louisiana. Good thing for me is I built the hvac at onetime and hung dash on my last GM job.
