I replaced a noisy alternator. I am now getting a battery light that glows dimly. It seems to do it most when there's no load such as headlights, blower fan, etc. While replacing the alternator I noticed that the 2 wire plug was corroded and deformed so I ordered one from the fierostore. I'm assuming that this is the culprit of the glowing battery light. It came yesterday and I'm wandering where does the other wire with the eyelet attach to?

the two wire plug is what feeds the internal voltage regulator. If as in your case a poor contact the light will glow. The eyelet could be a ground.

I replaced the connector and the light still glows it seems to only do it when there is a load and then the electrical load is taken off. Such as the head lights, radiator fan, and the a/c blower. Is the voltage regulator inside the alternator bad?
