anti theft problem

I have a Sunfire 2001 2.2
I have a anti theft problem
it comes on all the time
so checked on the internet
and they said cut the yellow wire
to disable the anti theft
and the anti theft came back and is on
I also noticed that there was some wire
missing inside the yellow housing of the wire
I also noticed that there is a kit
there is a wire kit to replace the old anti theft wire

I need help with this problem

After you cut the wire, did you measure what value resistor was required and installed the resistor?

for my car and waiting to get it in the mail
