Hello there !

Recently I swapped the radio on my 07 Torrent with an aftermarket android unit. As soon as I started the car I got a Anti Theft Message on. Now the car doesn't crank anymore. I hear a relay click when I try to start it and I do hear the fuel pump turn on. I've tried to do the 10 minutes re-learn procedure and the 30 minutes as well, still no success.

Thank you in advance for your help !

Did you try putting the old radio back in?

No I didn't, I tried two different harness but none of them worked so I had to strip the wires and connect them to the android radio harness. There's 3 wires that I didn't used. I tried to find a radio diagram on the internet but I didn't found any :/

Thanks you for your reply !

You are not the first person to do this

Try to see what Crutchfield.com recommends

When you did the installation, did you disconnect the battery and provide a method to retain ECM/BCM memory?

I disconnected the battery and didn't provided any method to retain the ECM/BCM memory.

What I find weird is that when I put the key on, there's no anti-theft light. What I notice, is when I take out the BCM fuse, then I get a anti-theft light on the screen.

***Update***

I bought an expensive OBD reader to be able to read all the modules. The anti theft system ain't active :D

I think I damage a ground wire when I was putting the plastic trims back near the doors, the passager door doesn't lock anymore when I lock the car with the keyfob. Could a bad ground wire cause the engine to not crank ?

I get this from the obd reader: "Audio output 4 right rear circuit short to ground"

Also, will it be possible for me to jump the starter relay just to see if the engine cranks ?

Thank you again !

You can jump the relay but I cannt see how an audio error would cause a no start.
You did check for blown fuses?
Did you look at the harness going to the starter for a blown fusible link?

I checked all the fuses, interior and exterior. None of them are blown. The weird thing now is that the passager door behind the driver can't lock anymore via the keyfob and there's no sound to it even though if the harness is okay.

Could that be a bad ground issue ?

" Did you look at the harness going to the starter for a blown fusible link?" I guess that's the next step.

Thank you again !!!
