My sister owns a 2003 pontiac grand am. recently she has had the security light flash and then she has to have the key in the on position for 10 mins before it will start. she asked a guy who works at a pontiac dealership and he said its $400 to repair it or more. now i have done some research on the net finding out its a few things. 1. body controle module 2. ignition switch or 3. bad connections or broken or frayed wires. now they all have thier solutions either from the radio or one i think said from the radiator. now the one who said the radiator said that would keep the light off while the radio one will have the light on. i have a escort and have dropped the steering wheel its fairly easy, if replacing the ignition module is easiest. if you know what to do. i wanna know what the easiest would be, 2nd what would be the cheapest. i am a forklift mechanic so i am mechanicly inclined. I just always like knowing as much from the pro's as possible before tearing into things. so ill check the normal things like fuses and the keys are a snug fit. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
