Anyone else had issues with erratic heater/AC vents?

My dash vents have completely stopped working. My AC will only work sporadically and sometimes when it does, cool air will come from the windshield area vents, but hot air from the floor vents. Wondering if it's actuators (that clicking noise) only or what other repairs might be involved. Trying to get an idea of the cost of getting things to work correctly again. Thanks in advance for any insight!

There is a HVAC relearn procedure I pasted it below

Actuator Recalibration
When replacing an air temperature, mode, recirculation actuator or the HVAC control assembly, the following calibration process needs to be performed:
Important: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control assembly during self-calibration. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.
1) Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
2) Turn the Temperature dial all the way to the right.
3) Turn the blower control dial all the way to the right.
4) Turn the mode position dial all the way to the left.
5) Simultaneously press and hold the A/C and Defrost buttons until the LED's start to flash.
6) Once the LED's stop flashing, calibration is complete.

that may solve your problem but you may have 1 or more of the actuators that control the blend doors go bad also.
Do you hear any Clicking noises from the dash when the system is operating?

I would try the relearn procedure afew times to see if it helps
Good luck!

Will try that ASAP! Yes, it clicks when when turned on.

The clicking is usually caused by a bad blend door actuator but not always, fingers crossed :(

I think I did it correctly, but how long do you wait for the lights to stop blinking? It's been a few minutes

When I hold the buttons in, it starts to cycle through the vents, so I know that air can come out of the dash vents, which it hasn't been doing. But then the lights are just blinking and the air is coming out of the windshield vent area. It's definitely been 5 minutes.

Just double checking, when you say AC and defrost, they are the two outside buttons, whereas the middle one is for blower control. Correct?

Third time was a charm. Can't thank you enough!
