Around how much does it cost to fix a leaky front seal on the engine of a 1997...

...Pontiac Sunfire? I just had a transmission leak repaired and they informed me that the front seal of the engine is leaking. He said that they usually replace the water pump and timing chain as well but I just had the timing chain replaced by a private mechanic. So about how much average would it be to fix the front seal and or water pump?

it depends on the engine.
if its a 2.4L:
(THE ENGINE THAT I HATE MORE THAN ANYTHING LOL(goddamn quad-4)) your looking at aprox. a 4 hr job. the price of the part itself should be no more than 25 bucks
if its a 2.2L:
Your looking at aprox. a 2hr job and the part should cost the same
Now for the labor cost, this usally varies from shop to shop but the averge tends to be about $90/hr
Also make sure before you do that that they check your PCV valve, a open PCV Valve can cause blowby gasses to build up in the crankcase forcing oil out of your front seal
